Welcome to our fall Real Estate Market Update newsletter. Our goal is to keep you informed on the trends of the local market by providing information, statistics and our opinions relating to all things Real Estate. In addition to market information, we’ll keep you updated on what’s happening at Choice Realty and the changes we are making to serve you better.

Commercial Real Estate

If you’re looking to open a new business or relocate an existing business, the current commercial Real Estate market is very promising. A number of new commercial spaces are currently being built, as well as numerous existing spaces are available. There are currently 22 commercial listings in Winkler and Morden offering a variety of options for retail, office, or professional space. Check out our commercial listings here.

One of the new commercial projects being developed is East Gate Business Park, located at the corner of Highway 32 and South Railway Ave. East Gate has over 63,000 square feet of commercial space available in one of Winkler’s highest traffic areas. Click on the link above for more information.

Fall market info

Generally, fall is a busy time in the Real Estate industry.  People are settling into a routine after summer holidays and want to make a move before Winter sets in. Accordingly, when people are looking to move, they need to sell their house first which is the reason we have a wide variety of listings in the Pembina Valley right now.

Days on the market or DOM is a good indicator of how strong the market is. The chart below compares DOM statistics for January – October 2015. When listing your house, the following is how long the average home takes to sell in each given area.

Choice Realty had the privilege of sponsoring 2 soccer teams in the Winkler Minor Soccer league this year. Our very own Wes Harder coached this Choice team to many hard fought victories. We’d like to thank all the volunteers that make the the WASA program possible as well as all the other programs that make our community great.

Changes being made to serve you better

Nic’s job is to ensure that when you list your house with Choice Realty, it receives the highest exposure possible. He is a recent graduate from Red River College’s Business Administration program and before Choice Realty, worked in Marketing and Financial Services.

With Nic being our marketing coordinator, he is able to utilize our website and Facebook page to their highest capacity. Our website receives approximately 19,000 views each month, and our Facebook page reaches about 2,000 people every week! With these numbers, you can be confident that your home will be sold for the highest value in the shortest time possible.

The Real Estate industry is a complex topic that is constantly evolving. We’re finding that a seasonal market update is not enough information to keep the public informed on all the changes and topics that can benefit them. We will be starting a Real Estate blog on our website in which we will be posting monthly about different topics that will help the public make informed decisions regarding Real Estate. Our next post will be about the benefits of investment properties and how to utilize the strong local rental market.
